HISTORY
   R & F Laboratories is an
independent microbiological
research, testing, and
consulting facility emphasizing
close client relationships.

   R & F Laboratories was
established in 1990 by
Drs. Lawrence Restaino,
and Elon Frampton, caters to the
needs of the food industry,
particularly, the small & midsize
food companies. In 2004, R & F
Products was established and has
12 patents/patent applications
pertaining to new microbiological
chromogenic media for more
specific isolation of various
foodborne and environmental
pathogens including,
E.coli 0157:H7, Listeria
monocytogenes, Listeria spp.,
Salmonella, Shigella spp.
Bacillus cereus/Bacillus
thuringiensis, Bacillus anthracis,
Enterobacter sakazakii, and
Yersinia pestis.
  R & F Laboratories feels it is
extremely important that the

Our 3000 square foot facility,
located in Downers Grove,
Illinois has easy access to
serve companies in the greater
Chicago region.

   At R & F Laboratories all
testing is performed by our
trained and degreed scientists
and supervised by our degreed
scientists. The core staff of
R & F Laboratories has more
than 60 years experience in
the food industries with more
than 25 years experience
specifically with meats.
