Providing custom, basic, and applied microbiological services pertaining to the food industry. Our many services include routine food microbiological testing, allergens, support chemistry, shelf life and challenge studies and on-site consulting for HACCP and sanitation issues.
The laboratory was established in 1990 with the goal of catering to the needs of the food industry, particularly, the small and midsize food companies.
The laboratory continues to accomplish these goals and in order to better serve the food industry it achieved laboratory accreditation in 2010 and has maintained the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard through the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), certificate number 2978.01.
Region Food Laboratory is located in Highland, Indiana. We offer sample pick up service to Chicago, the surrounding suburbs and Northwest Indiana. Samples may also be sent by mail.
